Rehearsal Dinner outfit

Happy Thursday Loves!

I am so excited to share this look with y'all, because it is seriously my favorite outfit of all time! Like I said, it made me feel like a princess. Between the blush color and the fluffy tulle skirt, I didn't want to take this off at the end of the night. And the shoes matched just perfectly. I would wear this every day if it was acceptable.. but I think I would probably receive a few odd looks at the office.

I figured the day before my wedding would be hectic, crazy, stressful.. But I was pleasantly surprised when I woke up with an incredible sense of calm on Friday morning. It was a beautiful day filled with beautiful people. Me and my girls, my mom and my mother-in-law got our manis and pedis, and then went to lunch at HG Sply Co. If you haven't been to this cute little spot on the Trinity, I definitely recommend it. It's an awesome atmosphere and they have great food & drinks. I believe opening night for the Dallas location was last night, actually.

After lunch, we went and checked into the Embassy Suites in Grapevine, and then got ready for rehearsal. I had seriously been so excited for months to wear this outfit. My mom actually picked it out for me one day while she was shopping and I wasn't even with her (shoutout to my amazing momma! She knows me too well).

Rehearsal went as planned, and I think that's when it started to feel real that we would be getting married the next day. After rehearsal at The Laurel, we went to Café Italia for our rehearsal dinner. Seeing all of our closest family and friends fill up the room was so overwhelming. I absolutely loved every second of having everyone under one roof. We ate, we laughed and we cried. We decided to have our MOH & best man do their speeches at rehearsal dinner opposed to at the reception, and I'm so glad we did so. Speaking in front of people is one of my greatest fears, and I remember being so nervous about my MOH speech at my bestie's wedding. It was all that I could think about until it was over, and I didn't want my sister to be stressed on my big day. Turns out, our best man was waaay more nervous than my sister was (a side of him I'd never seen before haha).

After everyone had gathered up and left, me and Carl Michael wanted to practice our first dance one last time. We wanted it to be a surprise to everyone, so I asked my girls to wait in the car while we practiced in the parking lot (of course they spied on us). It was such a sweet & special moment with my soon-to-be husband and I couldn't wait to marry him the next day.

So I know I'm a little behind.. but I purchased the book The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins a while ago, and now I seriously cannot put it down! Every day I'm sitting at working thinking "I can't wait to go home so I can read tonight!" I'm ridiculous, I know. But if you haven't already read it, I suggest you do! I took this book on our honeymoon, but I didn't even have a chance to think about reading while we were gone. So I started it on the plane ride back and read half of the book. It's so good. It's in fact so good that I didn't want the plane to land because I didn't want to stop reading. I'm a weirdo, right? This is not normal for me because I typically lose interest in books about halfway through and I never finish them (horrible habit). I really enjoy reading when it's a book that I'm interested in, and I want to start reading more. So if you have any suggestions for my next read, please let me know!

I hope you all have a great rest of the week and a fabulous weekend! All outfit details are linked below.
