Paint Color: PPG "Cappuccino White"
I have received so many questions about the nursery, so I thought I would share a little gender neutral inspo on how we're decorating. Although still a work in progress, we are getting so close to having a complete nursery, and I couldn't love it more!
As you may know, Carl Michael and I are not finding out the gender of Baby C until the big day. So many people think we are crazy, but it is making it even more exciting and suspenseful waiting on his/her debut! We decided before even getting pregnant that gender reveals weren't really our thing and that it might be kind of fun to not find out the gender. So, if you're on the fence about whether or not you want to find out, I'd recommend letting it be a surprise! It's so fun, in my opinion! That being said, we live in with a world full of cute gender reveal parties, gender specific clothing and nurseries, and I totally understand why you may be dying to find out what you're having. I, myself, enjoy neutrals probably a little too much, so it hasn't bothered me one bit!
If you follow along on Instagram, you've seen the progress we've made on the nursery lately. I am so thankful, because I was a little worried there for a while. We decided to turn our previous office into the baby room, which meant we needed to have the french doors walled-off in order to make the room complete and ready for Baby C. Thankfully, all construction is complete and we now have a precious little room that is so close to being done. My mom and I spent all day yesterday going through all of the gifts we received from my baby shower, washing the tiniest little baby clothes and organizing everything. I really don't think there's anything that smells better than baby laundry. Well, except maybe the sweet little baby itself, one of my readers pointed out to me yesterday :)
The first thing I picked out for the nursery was the crib. I knew I wanted a white crib, which could obviously go with just about any room theme I decided to go with in the end. We looked at quite a few online and in person, and finally decided on the Larkin Crib from Pottery Barn Baby. Y'all - this crib is amazing quality. It was delivered about a month after ordering, they assembled it and it's perfect. I was actually even more impressed with the quality and sturdiness of this crib after it was put together in our own home than I was in the store. We are so happy with it and it will for sure last through as many kids as God blesses us with. Speaking of.. Carl Michael's number keeps going up - first he said he wanted 3 and the other day he jokingly said SEVEN. Woah there buddy.. I'm all for more than one, but I'm just going to focus on having sweet little Baby C for now and see how we feel after haha.
I also picked out this chandelier pretty early on. I saw it and knew it would go perfectly with the style I was going for. Although the rest of our home is more cool-toned (aka everything is grey & white), I decided to go with more warm tones in the nursery. I stalked this rug until it was available in the size we needed, and I think it pulled the room together so nicely!
I've received so many questions about our baby dresser, and it's actually not a baby dresser. It is the Sausalito Extra Wide Dresser from Pottery Barn, and we picked it up from an outlet on the way home from our babymoon and my sister painted it white for me. I was really on the fence about whether or not I wanted to paint it or not, but I am so glad that we did. It looks gorgeous! Once Baby C is here, I plan on changing out the knobs to make it look a little more like a baby girl or boy.
The last big piece in the nursery is the rocker/glider, and I have probably received more questions on this piece than anything else. Unfortunately, I cannot find it anywhere online, so I'm unable to link it. But it's from Buy Buy Baby and it's the Bilana Swivel Rocker/Glider by Best Chairs and part of their "Storytime Series" line. I'm not sure why it's not on their website, but you should be able to go into Buy Buy Baby and ask for this particular chair. You're able to choose from tons of fabrics/colors and they make the chair custom once you place your order. I hope this helps, but I'll keep an eye out to see if it pops up online anywhere. (I found a similar chair online for about half the price here.)
Please let me know if you still have any questions. I tried to cover everything, but I know you all had quite a few questions. If I missed anything, feel free to leave a comment below or send me an email and I'll get back to you ASAP!
