If you have been reading my blog for a while, you've probably caught on to the fact that I usually post every Tuesday, and most of the time on Thursdays as well. So this post was supposed to go up yesterday, but yesterday had a plan of its own. If you follow me on Instagram and watch my Instastories, you know exactly what I'm talking about. For some reason, I couldn't get anything right yesterday and I may just have been on the edge of an emotional breakdown. Every little thing seemed to be going wrong, but it was all so little it's not the stuff that's worth even talking about. You know, when you spill your entire cup of coffee in the middle of Starbucks, the internet won't work, surprise balloons for a special project all fly out of your car when you open the door - that kind of thing. Luckily, I chose to laugh at myself instead of cry. I can't say I always choose this way of dealing with a bad day, but I'm proud to say that yesterday I was able to laughed off. I woke up early this morning on the right side of the bed ready to start fresh. Long story short, this is yesterday's post, just a day late ;)
I've been getting so many questions about these shorts lately. I know you all saw me wear them constantly last year, and just be prepared to see them again this year because they're my absolute favorite pair! I eyed these shorts for a good few months before pulling the trigger and purchasing them. To be honest, they're more than I typically spend on a pair of denim shorts and it took me a while to justify buying them. But I am so glad I did - I love them so much that I'd give away all my other shorts if I could only have one pair. They do run big, so I would size down at least one size. I originally purchased a size 26 and returned them twice before sticking to a size 24! They now also come in a lighter wash (that you can see here) that I've also had my eye on. So, if you're on the fence about them, I would buy the shorts because life is short and you deserve to treat yourself every now and then. Everyone I know that has this pair absolutely loves them and wears them constantly. And if you decide to purchase them and you hate them, you can always return them!
So like I said in my last outfit post, my white and blue stripe obsession continues. This time I couldn't pass up this $20 button down from the new Universal Threads line at Target. It's the lightest/airiest (is that even a word?) material, and so perfect for spring/summer! I also didn't realize I needed a pair of white shoes until I purchased these white mules, and they've made it so much easier to complete my white outfits.
That's all for today, but stay tuned for something super exciting coming to the blog tomorrow! I've been dying to share with you guys and it's finally here!!
XOXO MEGAN KRISTINE.
