Our Engagement Session #BecomingaComer

Ahh.. engagement pictures. One of the first things to check off the wedding to-do list! Being the wedding-obsessed girly girl that I am, my 'wedding' board on Pinterest is just about the size of my 'fashion' board. I had known for quite some time that I wanted to marry Carl Michael... Obviously I hadn't been dating him for 7 years for nothing! :) Not that I was in a rush to get married, but whenever the time just so happened to come, I knew I was ready to plan! After seeing many of my friends go through the wedding planning process, I knew that photography was very important to me and I made sure to do my research. Ashley Gillen was my top pick - I'm obsessed with her work! She's amazing at what she does and still manages to make her shoots fun and light-hearted.

So, choosing our wedding photographer was a breeze. Choosing what I was going to wear in our engagement pictures - not so much. It took me months to finally decide on what I wanted to wear, and even then I wasn't completely sure if I had coordinated our outfits well.

After it was all said and done, I realized it didn't matter so much what we were wearing. The pictures turned out great and it really is about the 2 of you and capturing your connection (SO cheesy, but true!).

Shoutout to Ashley Gillen for doing out engagement pictures! She's THE best! Visit her blog here: Ashley Gillen Photography.
